Major Gift Giving In the early years, all funding was provided by the local Lions and Lioness Clubs. Today, while Club funding is still a big source of revenue for the Foundation, many private donations from those who wish to express their support are helping to fund the Foundation. Private donations come from individuals who are affiliated with Lionism, or from those who just wish to support the Foundation's efforts. Private donations come to the Foundation in the form of both outright and deferred gifts. Outright Gifts
Deferred Gifts Deferred gifts are committed in the present and received at a future date. Some deferred gifts are straightforward, such as a bequest in a will. Others are more complex, providing current tax benefits, as well as life income for the donors. Other deferred gifts can include:
For those who wish to see the projects continue, the staff is ready to help you explore these methods of giving to determine which would work best for you. A Major Gift Giving Committee has been formed and will be charged with the responsibility of directing those with the resources to make a difference in the lives of others to the Foundation.
