Major Gift Giving
Private donations from individuals, groups, corporations or foundations are greatly appreciated and a valued source of funds for the Wisconsin Lions Foundation. Prospective donors may choose to consider one of two approaches to support:
In the last decade, WLF expenses have risen dramatically. Generous Club donations have been the historic backbone of financial support for the free services WLF provides for all shared statewide Lions Club community projects. But they are not keeping pace and now account for less than half of annual operating expenses. Inflation and other costs defy control efforts and continue to escalate.
The solution depends on private donations.
Outright gifts of cash, securities, property, corporate matches and gift planning options including Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts. You may realize predictable, increased income from property and/or arrange for management of assets while reducing or eliminating income, estate and gift taxes.
Deferred gifts represent other possibilities. Simple bequests in your will, or trust designations may offer estate tax advantages. They can be funded with cash, life insurance, a bank or retirement account, securities, real estate, or other personal property. They can be for a specific amount, a specific asset, a percentage or all or a portion of your estate residue.
