Lions Pride Campaign

Established for the Future of Wisconsin Lions Foundation Statewide Projects
In Wisconsin, the Lions presence is without parallel as a force for community service. There is a Lion for every 260 Wisconsin citizens. Some 580 Lions Clubs serve their local communities; that reach is supported still further by 118 Lioness and 48 Leo Clubs.

For more than a half century, the crown jewel—the pride—of Wisconsin Lions has been Lions Camp: founded to provide, free, life-changing experiences for children with special needs from all Wisconsin communities.

Administered by the non-profit Wisconsin Lions Foundation [501c(3)], that vision has since extended to include multiple services for statewide projects in which all local Clubs participate: children’s vision screening, diabetes, hearing, eyeglass recycling, and more.

The public need for Lions’ services continues to grow, but so too does the cost of providing even current services. Fortuitously, Wisconsin Lions have not experienced the same level of membership decline as some other service organizations, but Foundation funding has become an extreme challenge.

The Lions of Wisconsin support the Lions Pride Campaign as a permanent donor-directed endowment. The WLF Lions Pride Endowment Fund goal is $25 million. The Campaign’s success— realizing the interest provided by this undertaking—is essential to the future of Lions Camp as well as other statewide local community projects.
